Happy Birthday Card

I didn't know what to post today.... so I posted those posts that were about pictures and quotes.... and I didn't think that was enough for today! As I was thinking about what to do, I remembered making a birthday card/letter few months ago and it turned out pretty well..^^ so I started to draw one again, remembering some steps.. there were a few birthdays coming up anyway.. and I thought that I should post it on the blog~

This is the colorful birthday card I made~!

Now, I will show you how to make it, step by step~!

First, you need a paper.. or two pieces of paper, just in case you mess up at first:).... a little blurry there...... -_____-

Okay, so what I did is, at the bottom of the paper, I wrote happy birthday, in block lettering.
Now... this seems weird.. but to make the block letters into 3D, you have to make the... shadow part(?) ..you know.. pretend that there's a sun at the top left hand corner and you could see the sides of the block letters... sorry for being so confusing... So, draw some little lines, touching every corner, facing away from the imaginary sun.

This is a close-up view of them....
And this is also complicated... but it's actually very easy. All you have to do is connect the lines....as shown above. On the curved parts, I didn't do a good job either....

The Happy Birthday sign looked too plain... so I added a little character, which right now, is only a face.

The body complete! I guess it looks a little bit nicer.... lol
This is the overall look... with no color yet.

Now, with some color and lines for the.. words to be written^^ I didn't want to use sharpies... and I can't really color in those small block letters with those thick crayons.. and all I had were pens, as I showed you on my diary post, sooo, since I didn't want to use up the thin pens too much, I drew in bunch of diagonal lines....

This is the complete look of the card/letter~!

A balloon.......^^ You could see how I colored in the things with more detail

I personally think that diagonal lines look much better than just coloring them in completely~ hehe

Done~!!!

Hehehe.. much better than just buying birthday cards for someone....

Juicy Couture iPhone 3GS case review

Around the second week of November last year, I finally got a case for my iPhone! Although I paid 40 bucks for it in the apple store, I'm glad I got it^^

As I was wondering what to blog about today....even though I've already written like 5 in two days, I wanted to write a review about my case... posting with lots of pictures of the before-look and the after-look~

This is the case I got^^ The color on this one actually seems a little darker than mine..The case is really strong but still, it's very light.. normally, cases come in one piece but this one...or cases from Juicy Couture come in 2 pieces... so I guess it's tougher to come apart when you drop it..

So. From here, my phone has evolved to...

This... I didn't like the black margins of the iphone so I ordered a white dekal skin from amazon~

The dekal skin came with two pieces.... The backside didn't cover up completely and my phone looked too plain.. So, I decided to glue a paper-cut-out ribbon on it.. lol.

My iPhone..before my juicy case.. along with my old phone...^^

NOW.. The current look~

The phone looks a whole lot better, I think:) The case really protects the phone.. from getting scratches and from shattering. As you could see.. I ordered some home button stickers to put on.. instead of those other stickers that didn't fit the circle..

The backside of it~ The color is almost white.. o.O

Phone posed with other random things...

It's actually very hard to open the case. I had to slide in a thick card to open it.. but I'm guessing that's a good thing:) Some of the reviews have said that the skin of it peels off.. it's been about 8 months now and I haven't gotten any problems.. yet...and hopefully, I won't get any^^

Banana Milk Recipe

If you have never heard of banana milk... well you have now!
One of the favorites of a Korean person is a banana milk.. It's very famous in South Korea and some other places in Asia too.. and this is what it looks like..

I remember when I was a kid, I used to drink these all the time.. and never got enough of them. And then.......I moved to the US and never got to taste them again. T^T It was until last December 29th, when we went to Las Vegas, we visited Greenland market and found banana milks!!! They were so good...... my childhood memory washed over me as I took a sip of it....

So...as I was staying home.. doing nothing during the summer.. I thought of my favorite drink and wanted to make my own^^

The recipe is very easy and the taste is great... not the flavor of the real banana milk but, it was still okay^^ I think best recipes are the ones that are easy to make and still taste good... so. Here's the recipe..

*Makes about 3-4 cups of banana milk

INGREDIENTS

3 ripe bananas
2 cups of milk
1 Tbs of honey
2 tsp of agave nectar/sugar (optional for more sweetening)

1. Finely chop the bananas
2. put them into a mixer
3. add milk, honey, and agave or sugar..

DONE!

Live in Hope Diary -December~May

As I spent 3 hours posting random things on my blog last night....or in the middle of the night, I would say... I couldn't wait to post another one this morning!

I was wondering about what to blog about today.. and I decided to post about my diary.. Usually, people don't show their personal journals in public .... but, I thought that I didn't really have anything to hide so lol. My best friend actually writes in my diary too.... So today, I will show what we have done in our free time^^

This is what the front cover looks like... with a strawberry ice-cream pen^^

I got this from Target last year... it's not actually designed as a diary with monthly planner formats and daily planner stuff.. But I drew in the lines and made it as one.

DECEMBER Monthly Planner format..

I added some pictures to take up some of the spaces...

Other pictures with Donut and my sister from the Photo booth at South Towne Mall
